All the ole school fans need to understand that life rolls on. BTW, I grew up Fla., not too far from Daytona. Watched Earnhardt finally win the 500. Not a newbie either. Pearson was the real deal. The only reason Petty won so much is because they would race 3x a week. Gordon will pass Earnhardt for career wins, mark my words. Not sure if 105 (pearson's record) is attainable. As for the best racer ever..not sure I agree with the Earnhardt statement....asterisk on the 'stock car' racer. As for the 24hours--> he was on the best funded team. Schumacher is certainly among the greatest ever. Tony is still the most well rounded except for Andretti. nuff said.
