Hi,
The plate systems are good for the lower HP NOS systems. Once you start running lots of NOS you should step up to a fogger system with bigger solenoids and dedicated fuel system.

Look at the Edelbrock website and they will tell you to use their plate system with a dual plane intake for best performance on the street. An open plane intake is not a good choice for the street. Also on the old 302 and 460 firing order the # 7 and 8 cylinders fire right after eachother and cause a LEAN condition in cylinder 8 when using an open plane manifold.
