Default 429 Oil Pan

I am using a canton racing "T" sump oil pan for my 351w. I did it specifically for ground clearance issues. However, it comes with a windage tray which is a great way to get an extra 10-15hp since it keeps the oil from frothing up around the crankshaft due to the wind generated by the crank as it turns at high RPMS. www.cantonracingproducts.com.

There are also some finned aluminum "Cobra" specific pans out there in a T configuration. I think I prefer steel though since the oil pan is hanging out down there in a pretty vulnerable position.

I am using a Mellinor High Volume pump with this setup. Some would argue the merits of the high volume versus standard volume pumps, but my experience thus far has been positive.

Good luck!
