I know I don't have a 427 SO but I have installed my engine and trans together several times (unfortunately) pretty easy if you have one of those engine pitch attachments to your cherry picker. Just have your front end raised at least a foot off the ground so you can work into your angle. I know Jay has done at least one this way.
