No problem, did it twice last year with my wife as a helper.
I pulled the front wheels off so I could push the cherry picker in from the sides at an angle and I placed blankets and a fender cover on my fenders. I worked the cherry picker while my wife kept the engine from swinging and adjusted the tilt. I used the Goodwrench cherry picker that is sold at O'Reileys for about $200. Once the trans is under the firewall everything goes pretty smooth. I did pull my headers off, as well as my alternator and water pump for the install. The whole thing takes about 2 hours max.
I have also pulled my engine leaving the trans and bell housing in place and unbolting the starter and bellhousing then fitting the engine back to the bellhousing. This was actually easier than I had suspected. I didn't want to mess with my hyd tob in addition to re-installing my engine. I may have just got lucky a few times but it really was quite simple.
