Kind of along the same lines of "easier to beg forgiveness than permission"

Easier to announce that you are merging loud and proud rather than to check and see.

All kidding aside, I'm 6'2" and have trouble w/ the SPF mirror. I find that the closest I can get it to perfect is when the damned thing is just about touching the body of the car. I just try to go faster than everyone else......
