Many of us have been in your position. I suggest you consider it from this angle; There are kitcars where you work to fit and build everything, frame, body, acceessories, engine, wheels, transmission etc. There are factory build "rolling chassis" which is a complete Cobra ready to install engine and transmission.
I would suggest you will be much happier with the results from the latter, unless you are an expert with building cars.
I bought a Superformance and had an engine shop then fit a Ford Racing 392 engine with Tremec 5-speed bearbox. It is great.
