Back in the 70's I purchased a brand new Honda Accord. There was a waiting list and the dealers were asking $500 to a $1000 over MSRP. Luckily someone's deal fell through and I was able to snatch one up for $3,600. 86K miles and six years later, I sold it for $3,200. Not a bad depreciation factor.
