A stock C-6 takes 60 HP, a blueprinted one 40.
An AOD takes 40 HP.
A manual trans takes 25 HP.
I would rather have a heavy duty trans than a "weak" link in my
drivetrain.
The car with 460 HP won't care if it's 1 or 2 tenths slower in the 1/4 , but the owner will care when he goes through 3 transmissions by not building his car for the torque capabilities of his engine.
And by the way NOBODY can let their clutch out ,gas it, shift to 2nd, faster than a prepared automatic !
