I have a good Hi-Po mechanic that I trust with most anything, but I don't know if FE's are necessarily his bag. He races an 8 second BB Chevy and his shop does a lot of Corvette and general Hi-Po car work. It's Quality Automotive on Sawtelle Blvd. in LA. Ronnie Morgan, a true good guy and honest as the day is long if anyone needs an all around shop for top to suspension or resto work.

Any suggestions for a good tuner/chassis dyno shop that really knows FE engines in LA/San Fernando Valley area? I don't necessarily think there is any problem as I have power to burn but would like to verify that timing, valve lash, carb jetting Etc. is at best base line set up.

I'm still chasing oil leaks and down to, I think, rear main or oil gallery plugs as the drip is now isolated to the bottom of the scatter shield. New Fel Pro performance valve cover gaskets solved that seeping problem and the adapter block for the remote oil cooler was "bubbling" and now thats fixed as well. I am seeing a tiny bit of oil around the PCV flange at the back of the intake which should fix with a new gasket and a bit of RTV.

The coolant overflow tank was spitting a pin hole leak at a seam, so I had it welded and painted again. Boy, anyone that thinks the fun never stops is smoking something funny.
