I don't have any info on that block code, my book says it's not a 351C.
D2AE would be a '72, the 400 was produced in '72.
The 351C, the 400 and the 351M from around that time period all look very much alike, externally. The deck heights are different, but hard to measure in the vehicle. The ID tag or, failing that, the block code are all you can go by without tearing down the engine.
