John,
you have yours running before I do !
The carb should be a simple matter of tunning. Adjust the floats, idle mixture, high speed ect... Check the plugs, if your running rich, they'll be dark, lean, they will be white. Need any help, just email me. Right now, MSN is having major problems with email so, bear with me on responding. I also have the lone star pipes, don't like them & may build my own this winter. I just want to get my motor in a.s.a.p to enjoy it for a while. They are too small for big blks. with a lot of hp & torque, too restrictive. We need to expell the gasses fast & with ease. The glass packs are cheap also. I don't know anything, about sidepipes. I have never worked on them before so I don't know what's out there for mufflers. I would take the advice of what the guys are talking about on this thread. Sounds like they know what their talking about. Our spring weather has been great for cobras here. I'll get mine done just in time for the extream heat !
We've been very busy racing the sprint car & running the shop. Hopefully, I get to installing the cobra engine in the next two weeks.
Let me know what pipes, size & mufflers you'll buy.
Thanks,
Kev
