Right about the car cover destroying the paint (if towed with the cover on). It will also destroy the finish on the car if left on outside in the wind for weeks (dust gets under it and the wind beats scratches into the paint). Happens even with the "best" car covers (lined). Might not see it at first on some paints but shows up quickly on darker colors.
