The only times I have left the car overnight at shows, I just put a standard car cover over it to help keep it clean, but I don't worry about the safety of the car. The cover certainly won't make it any safer.

You definitely do not want to open trailer the car with a cover on it. As has been said, it'll make a mess of the paint.

Pete, if you figure out a way to make a sturdy wagon top over the trailer, let me know. I also have access this year to borrow an open trailer. I know the car can get wet, done it before, but if I can keep it dry, all the better.
