Had several M20s, M21s, M22 close ratios and even an ultra-rare M36 trans in 12 different Camaros in my past; many were complete new rebuilds too.
In a Cobra, I would take a well built Ford Toploader wide-ratio or close ratio 4-speed over an of my previous Muncie transmissions - any day. Yes a TL is heavy, but its a real smooth shifting trans when set up correctly. In my humble opinion though...
