Default How does a gas pump know when your tank is full?
How does the gas pump at your local filling station know when your tank is full? It always seems to stop at the right time.

I ask this question because I need to redirect my fuel vent and I am thinking of venting it to the filler tube but I don't know if that will cause any problems.

Would you consider our gas caps vented?
