The guy before who said something about mastercylinder and also pad compound has really good advice.
yeah you can spend a fortune on big rotors and four or six (or even 12) piston calipers...
I went to the 5/8 diameter tilton master cylinders. When I still wasn't happy with my pedal effort I went to using Hawk Blue-compound pads and man - what a difference.
The guys at Hawk tried to talk me out of going to that "race" pad, but they didn't understand the limited and high performance use of this toy vehicle. They thought some brake noise would bother me (like I could hear brakes over the engine).
Hawk Blue pads are very aggressive and cut my pedal effort in half.
