Hey Rob, I'll give you a good deal on a Smiths (made with original tooling) fuel level gauge that shows 1/4 full when it *is* full and 5/8 full when it is empty. Consistently. I presume I have a sender problem, but I'll find out when I get my new ATL fuel cell with a new sender. I've never owned a British car before, but with my genuine Smiths gauges and Lucas (Prince of Darkness) electrical system, not to mention my XKE suspension, I am getting a feel for the glamour of putzing around regularly, trying to keep this thing running.
