"What is everyone's thoughts building a motor like this? Car Craft's 302 400hp engine

If I started with a used '91 Mustang For $500-$800 and rebuild it, I'd be set, right?

How much does the average machine shop charge to rebuild?
How much do they charge to just clean it up and I rebuild it?" -Matt

Those AFR heads cost $1,300 alone. They had $ 2,200 in that engine without the cost of the engine.

So,adding $ 800 for a stock bone yard engine = $ 3,000.

Start adding in a rebuild on top of that.

You would be way ahead buying a crate motor in the long run.

Even if it has some forged Cr@p in it.
