You need one good strap for a ground. It doesn't hurt to have 2 or even 3 located around the motor, common use to be, 1 on each head and one on the bellhousing. You need the area for the grounds to be free of dirt and paint for the best grounds, You could but grease on the connection after installed to stop rust, or repaint the spot.
