Interesting thread. I just read it for the first time and man, there is some serious $hit being thrown around here!
I don't know if KC numbers are right or not. But I like to think so. Perhaps some of the other folks here can get in on the build shootout as well. Lots of talk, but nothing to back it up, no offense intended. At least KC is going to put his engine where his mouth is.
The world is an amazing place. Technology changes so rapidly I am constantly amazed. I just watched a program last night about these experimental shocks with some sort of fluid with metalic particles. When a voltage was induced to create a magnetic field the fluid would go solid in 5 hundreth of a second. Back to liquid just as fast. Change the amount of voltage and the amount that went solid changed. Amazing stuff.
Remember the early days of the internal combustion engine? HUGE cubic inch engine making 40 horse power. People where amazed, in utter disbelief. Remember the first stocker making 1 HP per cubic inch? How about 2 per? 18,000 RPM V10s? Rubish! Well, it used to be. Amazing how things change. How what seems to be as good as it gets is soon shown not to be.
