Did you solve the rear suspension looseness?
As for MG's, I had two 1952 TD's (not at the same time) Decided
they very much lacked power, so installed a Ford 260 V8 in the second one. Stock 164HP,2bb carb, ford 3 speed OD transmission,
Comet rear end (stock 4" MG wheels bolted right up to it!)
This was around 1964/65. Turned 14's at the drags. It weighed
about 1800#. Yep, take old British sports car, drop in small Ford
V8, make lots of fun!! I guess great minds think alike !!!
