FFR428, thanks much for that 428CJ link, it explains all my questions...

CJ blocks have the "C" and pass car blocks have the "A". I have the "C".

Blocks made at the original foundry have the 352 on them, and blocks made that the MCC foundry have 105. I have 352.

The late blocks made at the original foundry before they switched to the MCC foundry have NO casting numbers. I have no casting numbers.

My date code is 9B11, which is Feb 11, 1969.

I have the "428" cast inside the center freeze hole.

I have the re-enforced main webbing.

Starting in 68, Ford began stamping partial VINs into the rear of the block. I have a partial VIN stamped on my block.

So it appears I have a true 428 CJ block, in std bore. I guess I did pretty good on this one. I paid $600 for it.
