Feel for ya cuz I did the same thing...made a chrome moly 50mm roll bar....nice 150mm C/L bends.....then couldn't get it chrome plated well enuff to do it justice.
Ended up giving it to a mate for his cobra cuz he liked the painted look and I bought a stainless one from Don Pilling
