Guys, I just got back from the BMW dealer with
oil and filter for my M3 (going to try 6-month intervals instead of the annual changes recommended by BMW). They said the M3, M5 and Z8 all use a special racing 10W-60
synthetic, called Casrol TWS Motorsport. Anyone familiar with this stuff? Is it "too much
oil" for our motors? Can you get too much quality in
oil?
The back label says: SAE 10W-60, exceeds API, SJ/CF, ACEA A3/B3, Porsche Special Oil Approval, Exclusive approval for BMW M3, M5 and Z8.
Expensive, too!
