Steve,
It can be done, however it is not easy.
I used a deep socket and a swivel joint for the last one and a short socket with a swivel joint and a 3 inch extension for the next two. The swivel joint will change the torque reading some as the axis of the torque wrench is not lined up with the ceneter axis of the head bolt, but it should still be within + or - five pound feet.
Definately not the perfect situation but it can be done.
