Yes, you are correct in saying that if I had a kit itwould have the pickup points already welded in place. That would be a very easy project.
I have built my chassis like the original, .120 4" tubing. (Lots of work).
I liked the design because the round tubing design makes for a very rigid frame.
I am at the point of collecting the needed parts and designing the front geometery before I weld the pickup points but wanted to incorporate adjustable upper control arms in my design.
It will be a 90" WB car.
