Default 460 Crate motor Identification
Howdy all,
I am going to look at a Superformance car in a day or 2 that supposedly has a 460 crate motor in it...
My questions are:
1. Is there a casting number or something like that which can identify what engine the car may have?
2. Where would those numbers be located on the block?
I was looking at the Ford Motorsport website the other day and I am assuming that those part numbers listed for the different crate "kits" would be listed on the block? If not, is there any other way to ID the motor as to year/specs etc?
I know it has an Edelbrock intake and the car was an earlier ('96?) model... Haven't seen it yet though....
