Hi everyone,

My niece and I had a great time during Snake & Eggs 11 and the Meadowdale Raceway Park tour this morning. As usual, breakfast, the company and our car talk was fun, but I personally found the Raceway Park tour fascinating. As we hiked the track, I imagined myself “sliding thru the gears” and my engine revving as I drove the demanding hilly road course. (I actually heard the crowd roar as I zoomed down the 4,000 foot straight away passing the finish line in first place). Meadowdale Raceway Park had to be the Midwest road course Mecca during the 50’s and 60’s and I’m sorry I’ll never have an opportunity to actually drive the course.

Incidentally, I stopped at D&M Motorsport on the way home and discussed their September 11th car show with Mike Jr. The show hours are 9:00AM until 3:00PM and he also mentioned a possible breakfast. Mike said he would post additional information on the website. So check it out and I hope to see a large WCCC club member showing.
