hey, Ron! It really isn't that bad.... I was having some maintenance issues taken care of; fix the speedo, install gas gauge (remove fuel pressure gauge), figure out why I couldn't get it in reverse (after track day at MSR), replace manifold gasket (don't know which one!), that's about it. Consequently, had to locate Smith's gauges from Superformance (doug reed) - got new fuel gauge, all new speedo gauge; the manifold gasket seemed to take a while, not too bad, tho', but the problem seems to be the "sender" for the fuel tank--- don't know the details, but which ever one was in there originally worked with a different set of gauges, and now that there are Smith gauges it wouldn't work. So.... KC in Plano had no luck tracking down new sender at ERA, so fellow TCC (dallas) guy (aggie dude) called up there, but evidently the parts guy no longer works there, and my info. got lost in the shuffle. So, again, I called up to ERA yesterday, talked with Peter, and hopefully it is being sent to Big D, KC, as we speak. (well, write). If KC gets it in a timely fashion then maybe just maybe I'll have my car next weekend! Just dropped it off on Sept. 4.....
Now there doesn't seem to be any reason why it wouldn't go in reverse, as they haven't had any trouble at the shop. hmmm. Don't know about that one.... But it doesn't matter, as Jay seems resigned to the fact he will be pushing me wherever we go!
So, in conclusion, gentlemen, RETURN all of my parts by Wednesday, OR ELSE!!!!!!
