Almost the same type of distributor, I don't have the tach drive, I get 18 internal and 36 total. So, I set the distributor to 18 initial. I noticed a 2 degree drop when cold.

So, when cold it reads 16 degrees and when hot it reads 18.

Car starts fine and runs fine. Matter of fact the NASCAR guy was over saturday and ran the engine up to 8800 RPM before I ask him to stop. It didn't miss a heart beat.

Are you having starting problems?
