As an aside, my jet-hot coating is junk. It's pitting and bubbling and it looks like hell. I'm considering yanking the pipes off and having a custom set of swappable "shorties" made up.

Here's an idea on how to make them louder without doing the "take them off, cut them with a sawzall, etc......" method.

Drill a series of 1" holes on the bottom of the tube directly behind the 4-into-1 and in front of where the muffler begins. Drill as many holes as possible. Then, take a piece of sheet steel and weld it in the end of the pipe, closing it off. Now, you have re-routed the exhaust gases directly out the pipe before the glasspack.

For a nice tasteful look, you could weld in however many individual 1" pipe turnouts from the holes you've drilled.

It would certainly be unique!
