I tune Demon carbs every day all day.
I always set the floats at 1/2 on the rear and at the top mark or 2/3rds on the front.
If your having issues with this float setting then your 4 corner bleeds aren't adjusted correctly.
As you raise the float you make it easier to pull fuel in the idle circuits which may give it a tendancy to run rich, just reduce the fuel with the bleeds.

I try and work in the shop in the afternoons so mornings between about 7am and noon PST are best for me....and of course I'm here nearly 7 days a week now until race season begins, then I hang out the closed sign from Friday about noon until Monday morning.
