For your mesh grill I would probably fold the mesh into a Z shape and bond it to the inside of the scoop and the inside of the bonet. If you're careful and put a couple of layers of masking tape on the paint you should be able to form the mesh to the curve inside the scoop and on the inside of the bonet.
To bond you could use either sikerlflex as Scott suggested with the brace. You could also sand the paint under the mesh back to the glass and bond it with some resin flowed through the mesh onto the scoop. You would have to be careful and possibly make up a dam with plastacene to keep the resin in place till it set. You could then just repaint the underside of the hood or touch up where you've bonded the mesh.
