Hey Guys,

I'm getting ready to order AutoMeter gauges to replace my VDO's. Currently, my VDO fuel sender is a model that puts out 10 Ohms when empty and 180 Ohms when full. The closest match that AutoMeter makes is a gauge that will read empty at 16 Ohms and full at 158 Ohms. While removing the tank and replacing the sender isn't a huge deal, I'd rather not do it if I don't have to.

So what do y'all think? Should I just rip out the sender and go with a more universal 0-90 Ohm sender/gauge set or will the 16-158 gauge just over-sweep slightly? I'm thinking that I could adjust the sender arm a bit to bring the sweep down to match the 16-158 gauge, but if I'm getting into that, I might just as well go with the matched set to begin with.
