Brent, I did mine the way you are thinking and it worked out great. The tabs in the first photo are for the belt mounts! I drilled a hole through the frame kickup and put a hole in the upper trunk bottom so the belts bolt directly to the frame. Just enlarge the hole for the rollbar support on the drivers side.
