I'm in the proscess of polishing my PSE wheels now.The outers had picked up several peices of crushed rock putting dings that would catch the cloth .Tried to minimize the dings and polish up everything. My attention went to the inner . The inners have a tuff finish that doesn't polish up worth a darn.Lots of tool marks(scars) from forming and being clamped in tire machines.I have ended up taking abasive pads Like Roll-lock disks on rotary tools to take out the scars and dings and little glops like extra material then 280 grit wet paper then 1000 gritt wet paper , then polishing material. I've spent hours,heck days on each wheel inner ring. I'm down to my left front wheel. waiting for the compressor to refill. The edge next to the outer rings rolled edge is an area that was misted when initially polished. Problem with the inner rings was that dings would snag the raggs when being wipped down .I probably went too farr. They look great now but who will see the inners anyway?What I was thinking about if in the throws of initial build is cleaning up the inners first ,then having them ceramic coated and polished. that way brake dust wouldn't bother the inners if I didn't get them clean as often as I should have.They would look great be tuff and easily repolished. Whatch when having tires mounted and ballanced ,some tire machines really dig into the rim.
