mwelch,

Hopefully you are asking about your car and not your own rear end. I asked our Mile Hi Cobra Club for some ideas and only recieved ideas on your car rear end (Except for a few that think my rear end is too wide - mine, not the cars)

Here they are:

Mark Williams in Longmont. May be the best in USA. All alchhol and top fuel use his stuff

Denver Drivetrain.

When I needed my differential shortened and new axels I had an
outfit called Western Drivetrain at 1790 Jasper in Aurora, phone
303-364-8098 do it. The guy is a big time Ford guy and really knows his
stuff. As far as price it depends on what else you have done. I had it
shortened, Moser axles, tapered roller axel bearings, US Gear 4 spider
Traction Lock, my ring and pinion and my case and housing, adapted Ford
Racing disc brakes, and he did the complete set up. The price was around
$1100 total but that was a few years ago. Hope this helps.

I had my 8.8 narrowed 3” at Front Range Drive Train on South Federal. I paid 2,000.00 but I had the “C” clips removed and the bearing move to the outside and also had Weldwood brakes add and the axles replaced with 1 ¼ “ 28 spline.

Hope this helps.
