oh, yeah, Gary, I know about volunteering!! I've taken a couple of years 'off', and it seems I'm slowly getting back in. I always said I'd 'follow my kids' with my projects.... I mostly started volunteering at the local library; shelving, check out, story times, etc.... after 12 years, 2 time 'volunteer of the year', (most hours 2 years running!!) and finally, President of the Friends of the library for 3 years. Projects, fundraising, work work work, all for a lovely volunteer appreciation dinner! No, just kidding, very rewarding, but after 12 years, I finally moved away from it all (we moved for school- not to escape my volunteerism!!!

) We moved 3 years ago, and this is my first 'real' project at their school. When people find out you're a worker bee, or better yet, a 'queen' bee, then watch out! With my youngest being 5, I can do a little more at school. At some point I will substitute, but I don't EVER want to go back to classroom teaching!!! Gotta keep my Wednesday's open for scrapbooking!!!

ps. I started all the library work as a 'newlywed'; not working etc.... After 4 kids, the youngest was 2, I said enough!!!
