Most RTV that I use black ,white and clear are not
oil resistant and expand after prolonged contact with
oil . The orange is higher temp and some what
oil resistant. The blue is oil resistant. The blue takes longer to set up. The orange has set up so fast on me that I didn't get around an oilpan flange before it was getting grainy when I tried to smooth it out.You can form a RTV gasket by applying the RTV to one surface and after some setting up a coat of oil will keep it from sticking to the other surface like a valve cover or thermostat gasket that you may want to take appart again.
