The lean forward shifter is a real pain with the 6 speed. You loose a lot of sensitivity as to where the gates are and will find yourself shifting 2nd to 5th or worse 5th to 2nd. When I drove one I found it very hard to navigate my way through the gears.

Garrett (justbetter) managed to break reverse gear in his with a lean forward shifter on his T56. He was on the track at the time and going hard. What I think happened is that the longer shift lever gave him enough leverage to push past the reverse lockout when he was going for 5th gear. I modded his box after it came back from a rebuild and the shift has been great since. The I think the dogs are getting a bit tired though but he is making 550RWHP.

Cheers
