Not Ranked
A few of us got out during a break in the weather and go for a short hop on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago.
Made one mid run stop at a quickmart kind of place that is a bit out in the country that lived up to my observation that the cars by themselves draw attention but several together tend to draw crowds. At the stop we gathered the about 10 to 15 people mostly consisting of teenage boys and their fathers or older brothers and one young lady who mentioned that her father was so into Cobras that he named her Shelby.
The run ended up at a local restaurant that is a bit off the beaten path but moderately well known. As we were leaving and everyone was getting settled/strapped in I noticed a fellow of about 50 just standing a little ways away with his wife who had a very impatient look on her face. The whole assembly took about 3 or 4 minutes to get situated before we were ready to hit the starters. As the cars started one at a time I watched the grin on this fellows face get wider and wider with each start. After the last car started (mine) I glanced over at him and he gave me a small wave and walked off with his wife.
It's the little things like this that make owning these cars so much fun.
