I'm not too much help, but saw Custom Motors here in Costa Mesa CA (
www.custom-motors.com) putting an Auto in a SPF MKIII. I'm sure Barry Bloch at Custom or Lance Stander at Hillbank Motors (the local SPF dealer) could tell you what tranny/engine combo was being used. Good luck!
