Default 4 into 4 headers & torque ?

Can I gain low end torque by using 4 into 4 headers ? I have a slighty modified 1993, 302, EFI, with GT-40P iron heads, e303 cam, 1.6 crane roller rockers and push rods, and Cobra R upper and lower intakes. I am satisfied with the perfromance in mid- range but would like a little more torque to get off the line. Will the 4 into 4's help or should I stay with the black jack headers and catalitic converters. I am using the cats only to reduce the noise, if the 4 into 4's won't help in the torque area would I pick up anything ( other than noise) by going to "J" pipes? Thanks, John
