Correctomundo boxhead. That is my understanding too. But who knows...it is now 2005 so the rules are probably different to last year
I think the colour is all about safety, as are most of the ADR rules. If the system fails (eg brakes) then the light should be red. If your fuel runs out, the
oil disappears, or the engine seizes then you simply roll to a stop and call the RACV - but still safe so light is amber. Not sure this theory applies to the Ignition light.
Perhaps someone who has the latest ADRs on CDROM can look them up and quote some facts.
