More than half of what we build for customers are built just that way. Most of our customers are older and like the look of the car that they remember growing up with or the one they almost bought way back when.
However being a bit older and for all of us a bit slower than we once were having a fire-breathing monster under the hood kind of takes some of the fun out of taking the wife, in several cases now Grandma and you know were that puts us, for a ride to dinner or out of town to a show.
I notice a lot of fire-breathing cars for sale by older folks that thought at the time it would be fun but in truth is just to much to deal with.
Hey I like my fire-breathing monsters as much as the next guy trust me. However when I was a lot younger it was more fun to go out looking for trouble on the road when I did not have anyone depending on me at home.
May be why my 73 Charger with the 340 Sixpack 400+hp now sits in the garage waiting for the day I get around to restoring it.
Damn 30 years can sure take it's toll! Holy crap I'm starting to sound like my Dad! Need to go ask my 24 year old son what happened to me!
