Dreamer,
I feel for you on your speedometer issue( using a reverser at the back of the gauge.
I didn`t go that route , and still the space between the cable connection and the down tube is non existent.

I used a drive gear from the passenger side of the older Mustangs and installed it on the drivers side to get the dial to read backwards.
First test showed it worked, so I cut and patched the tunnel and installed it today, no room at all on the passenger side of the tunnel.
The Shifter boot will be really stretched when I screw the base down.

I sure hear a lot of issues getting the slave and master co-ordinated.
So far, my hyd.t.b. appears to have the proper space and function properly,
I plan on taking it around the block for the first time tomorrow, so I will get a better feel of it.

Take care,
Maurice
