I had a similar, if not the same problem during the build of my cobra recently. The clutch fork angle did not work with the Lakewood and Tremec tranny as it had with McLeods on numerous previous builds (McLeods were unavailable - possibly still are). The solution my shop came up with was to machine away a small part of the bell housing and use a slightly different TO bearing. Works like a charm.
