I too think the quality of their car is first rate. I don't know thier history but mine is 92 vintage and rock solid. It has some of the thickest glass I've seen on any replica and a stout frame. Their marketing is non-existent but they respond to every e-mail I've sent and seem to have any part I need, even though I've gotten by without getting anything from them yet.
I'm not sure if they got caught up in the Shelby vs replica wars or had a falling out among their owners. Something happened.
