Default Choosing a colder spark plug

Okay guys help me out here. I posted this over on the Gasholes site but it was either to complicated or everyone was asleep.

I think I need to step down my spark plug temp range. My builder installed Autolite 3924 and I want to go down in temp to a colder plug. Assuming I wanted to stay with Autolites would I get a 3923 or 3922? Or if I was using Motorcraft #4 would a #3 be the next colder plug?

George, If I was still using your favorite plugs ACCEL 716 what would be the next colder plug?
